the key to success is to grow STRAWBERRIES
You must grow Tomatoes because Strawberries & Tobacco take to
long to grow. Tomatoes only take 13 weeks!
Grow oranges, they give you give you 20 grant
a harvest, sometimes 30 grand. Strawberrys get to
much diseases.
Ok, I see that there are suggestions here to grow Strawberries, Tomatoes, and
other stuff. I personal think that if you want the big bucks and not these
little 10-20 grands a yr. Grow Apple Orchards. I have a farm of all Apple
Orchards right now that is close to 1 billion dollars. Its about 848.9 mill
right now. Its also triple the size of the town. Make sure to use all concrete
roads, and forget pesticides and junk like that. Just rent the stuff, don't
buy. Make sure its very wet climate too. with a river and maybe a lake. The
wetter the climate the better. Make sure disasters are off though, or else
look out, cause the whole farm will go under. Your Apple Orchards will flood
year round, but they won't need any maintenance. No Fertilizer, No Herbicides,
No Pesticides, Nothing. They will be great fields and you can just sit back
and relax. Heck you can go watch TV put it on fastest, and come back 3 hours
later with over a million dollars in your pockets. The only set back is once
you hit billionaire the game kicks you out and you can't go any further, but
its nice to be an over-achiever. Buy animals if you want. They are great.
Incase you wanna know how come you don't need the Herbicides and all that
stuff, its because since your Orchard flood all yr they got good topsoil, and
the game does that into account, Gotta love Maxis games, so realistic. River
makes even more topsoil for your fields and the fact that their constantly
flooded keeps nasty little bugs and weeds out of the way. For the first part
you may have to do herbicide and pesticide, but eventually it will be like
your fields are immune almost. Besides Apples are pretty good crops and tend
to be resistent to most things. You can try with disasters on, but the Locasts
don't seem to get washed away by the river. Another nice thing is for half the
fields maybe all of them the climate is wet enough they won't need irrigation.
But I used a little bit just in case, but right now I have all my valves shut
so I don't absolutly ruin the farm.
