The first prototype, the Cheetah, was introduced in 1977. It was built under the U.S. military’s High Utility Mobile Military Vehicle jeep replacement program for an American company named Mobility Technology International. The Cheetah weighed three tons and featured a rear mounted 183hp, 5.8 liter V-8 engine. Due to poor test results, only one Cheetah was ever built.
